Evan's Life and Rebirth

Created by Jane 15 years ago
My son,Evan, was born on a snowy day in Ohio on February 7, 1983. His arrival was so precious to me. I would gaze in wonder at my son and marvel at him. As a toddler Evan's outward appearance of a rosy cheeked cherub with tousled loose curls was a little deceiving as he was all boy, rough and tumble. Soon it was time for his first haircut as I started hearing too often what a beautiful little girl I had. Before I knew it, my baby started to Kindergarten (where he colored the new carpet in amazing colors) and on to Elementary school. Then suprise! At age seven, this only child got a sister. We still have the note from him announcing to his teacher that "Evan could not do his homework due to both parents being involved with the new baby". His sister Caitlin won him over although that did not prevent his growing desire to experiment with things, especially if they were hers. The "How does it go together" syndrom often was not followed by "How does it go back together". Evan loved doing guy things with his Dad and fishing and hunting were on the top of his list. This became a yearly ritual and gave Dad and Son many, many good memories. Memories that still linger and bring laughter as well as tears. Evan grew into a fine young man; his first "dance date" at Middle School wearing a dress shirt and tie and looking so handsome and serious...High School which brought freedom and pranks with his friends. My Christmas centerpiece made in school and proudly presented to me..one of my most cherished possessions. Evan grows into a handsome young man and at a very young age has a son, Evan Skyler who is so much like his Daddy. Age 21, Evan buys his first car..it is fiery red and the stereo works great. Two Months later, Evan makes a bad decision of going too fast around a corner and in the blink of an eye he is gone from us...
